ULTHERAPY PRIMEHow does Ultherapy PRIME work?
Ultherapy is a non-invasive treatment. According to the manufacturer, it uses real-time ultrasound imaging together with microfocused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production.
We use Ultherapy PRIME. The treatment plan depends on your face and the areas identified during consultation.

Which areas should be treated?
We do not begin with a fixed shot count. First we ask what concerns you, whether you have had Ultherapy before, and what you noticed after previous treatment.
Your concerns
We ask which parts of your face concern you most, and review your previous Ultherapy experience if relevant.
Fat and sagging
We examine your face visually and by touch to identify areas with more fat and areas with sagging.
Areas and shots
We decide where to treat and how to distribute the shots, then mark and review the planned treatment areas with you.

When will I notice results?
Collagen-related changes develop over several months after Ultherapy. Results often become more noticeable around 2–3 months, and collagen-related changes may continue for approximately 6 months. The timing and degree of improvement vary from person to person.
What does Ultherapy feel like?
During treatment, you may feel brief sharp, tingling or hot sensations. Pain sensitivity varies considerably from person to person.
Patients who tolerate discomfort well may have treatment with topical numbing cream. For patients who are more sensitive to pain, sedation may be considered.
The appropriate anesthesia method is determined after assessing each patient’s condition.

Can I have Ultherapy during a trip to Seoul?
Washing your face, applying makeup, and ordinary daily activities are generally possible on the day of treatment. This can make treatment during a visit to Seoul possible, but plan around your individual recovery.
Swelling and other temporary effects
Temporary redness, swelling, raised welts, bruising, pain, tingling or numbness may occur after treatment. Tingling or tenderness over bony areas, such as the forehead, cheekbones and jawline, may persist for 1–3 weeks.
In our clinical experience, swelling usually lasts about 1–2 weeks. Some patients notice mild swelling for 3–4 weeks. Recovery varies from person to person.
Aftercare guidance
- The same day: face washing and makeup are generally possible.
- For the first week: take care with alcohol, smoking, saunas, steam rooms and exercise that causes heavy sweating.
- After treatment: contact the clinic if you have concerns or unexpected discomfort.
- Travel planning: let us know your arrival, departure and important event dates when arranging an appointment.
Ultherapy or Thermage?
Both are considered for skin tightening and concerns about sagging. In our practice, we generally consider Ultherapy when facial contour and sagging are the main concerns—for example, a heavy-looking jawline—and Thermage when reduced skin firmness or fine lines are the main concern.

The treatment areas and settings depend on the amount of fat, skin thickness and degree of sagging. Not everyone needs both. If we perform both on the same day, we usually do Ultherapy first, but this is not the only appropriate order.

How are treatment areas and shot counts decided?
We examine your face and discuss your concerns before choosing the treatment areas and number of shots. The plan is reviewed with you before treatment.
How much does Ultherapy PRIME cost in Korea?
The cost depends on the treatment area, the number of shots, the tip type and the anesthesia method. For example, treating the whole face costs differently from treating a specific area. Because the range you need is decided after an examination, we do not list a single fixed price on this page. Our staff can explain treatment options and pricing in English. What should I check when choosing an Ultherapy clinic?
Consider asking which device will be used, who performs the treatment, how the shot count is decided, and what follow-up guidance is offered.
What if I am concerned about recovery before flying home?
Tell us your travel schedule and any important event dates before booking. Washing, makeup and routine activities are generally possible after treatment, but swelling can continue for weeks and recovery is individual.
Can I receive post-treatment guidance in English?
Yes. Before and after your visit, you can message us in English through WhatsApp or KakaoTalk. If you visit the clinic for follow-up, we can also provide guidance in English in person.
